This Privacy Policy explains how Persay, operated by Sanjay Rajeev, collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services.

  • Usage information: such as activity within the app, device/browser information, and approximate location inferred from IP.
  • Content you submit: such as messages, files, or other content you upload (for example, a resume), to provide the service.
  • Payment information: if you subscribe, payments are processed by third-party payment processors; we typically receive limited billing metadata (for example, subscription status and transaction identifiers) rather than your full card details.

2. How We Use Information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the service and customer support.
  • Authenticate users, prevent fraud/abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Process subscriptions, billing, and account-related communications.
  • Analyze product usage to improve performance, reliability, and features.

3. How We Share Information

We may share information with service providers that help us operate Persay, such as:

  • Infrastructure and storage providers (for hosting, data storage, and content delivery).
  • AI model providers to process your inputs and generate outputs when you use AI features.
  • Payment processors to process subscriptions and payments.

Today these are:

  • Vercel (hosting), Tiger Data (database), Upstash (caching and rate limits), Backblaze B2 (private file storage for resumes and images).
  • OpenRouter and the model providers it routes to (generating answers from your profile). Contact details are never sent to the AI.
  • Paddle (payments, invoices and tax, as merchant of record). We never see or store card numbers.
  • Google and Facebook (only if you sign in with them), and an email provider for account emails such as usage alerts.

We may also share information if required by law, to protect safety/security, or to enforce our legal rights.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, and analytics.

5. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may be able to request deletion of your account from within the app.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Your Choices

  • You can update certain account details in your profile settings.
  • You can cancel a subscription through your account settings or billing portal (if available).
